The Alchemical World View This introduction will present some of the basic premises of alchemy as taught during the Renaissance and Age of Enlightenment. Participants will discuss what alchemy is and what it is not, as well as examine the movement from an Alchemical World View to a Chemical World View during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The conversation will evolve into an exploration of how society has now come full circle into a Living Systems World View. The program will be in two parts, with a tea and snack break between segments. An Introduction to the Alchemical World View is free and open to the public. This event is followed by An Introductory Alchemy Workshop, a full-day, paid workshop on Saturday, May 2nd. Space is limited for this second event, so please register by Friday, April 24 if you plan to attend. Kevin Townley is co-founder of the Hermetic school, The Philosophers of Nature, which has a seven-level curriculum in laboratory alchemy and Qabalah. Kevin has worked full-time in an alchemy laboratory and conducts workshops on Qabalah, Spagyrics, Alchemy and Tarot in the US and Europe. He has been a faculty member at institutions such as The Colorado Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, Boulder College, and Naropa University.
